CHILD SUPPORT
Child Support Factors
Section 452.034 RSMo. and Rule 88.01 of the Missouri Rules of Civil Procedure set forth the factors used in determining the presumed correct child support amount to be paid by one parent to the other parent.
Child Support Form 14 Calculation
To assist in combining all of the factors used to determine the correct child support amount, a Form 14 Calculator is used.
Child Support Payment Center
To track child support payments and distributions, Missouri utilizes a Child Support Payment Center. If you have a current support obligation, you can enter your information at this site to review payments made.
Child Support Enforcement
Once an Order of Child Support is entered by the Court, the paying parent has a legal duty to pay. Failing to pay can result in criminal charges, including felony non-support, being filed by the county prosecuting attorney against the responsible parent. There can also be an administrative action taken against the responsible parent, or a contempt action by the parent entitled to receive support.
